Taking the Myth?

Mmmm, this new geezer on the block that called himself the Foreign Detective when in disguise but is now happy to reveal all in the name of Bernt 'call me Bernt' Stellander, generally unknown in the world of criminology but big in the golfing community, does he have all the answers - answers that have eluded seasoned police officers from Portugal to Britain to Germany (loosely speaking)?

A whole in one -debatable to say the least.

Before embarking on answers, the first question that needs to be asked is why the latest compilation of revelations are being marketed in book form, rather than quietly taken to the presiding official police investigative force - the Portuguese Judiciary. No, it is not because they won't listen as has been said time and time again about so many aspects of the case of Madeleine McCann and associated matters, so that's no excuse nor reason.

During a video link interview only yesterday M. Stellander stated quite categorically he was not there to sell a book but failed abysmally to explain exactly why he was there!  Perhaps he should be given the benefit of doubt or perhaps he should be taken at his word, if you can fathom what that word is.

The new book is creating quite a storm across social media, many commentators of which feel the revelations will 'blow the case apart' [sic] - meaning he has all the missing pieces of the illusive hypothetical jigsaw?  Extraordinary in itself as the book appears to be largely a compilation of social media theories that span the last seventeen years, since Madeleine McCann left this earth.

But again this book casts doubt over the competence of the Portuguese Judiciary, albeit indirectly, worse still (if that be possible) the revelations are built on unevidenced information, speculation, conspiracy theory and above all else social media commentary.  What ever happened to the official investigation, is that to be forgotten or ignored to make way for castles built on shifting sands?

There hasn't been much of interest going on since around the 10th anniversary of Madeleine McCann's disappearance, aside from repetitive tabloid reports about anything and nothing so maybe people are just looking for something new to discuss.  This book doesn't look to be the answer and the author doesn't appear to warrant the attention.

But hey - let's not allow commonsense to stand in the way of everything that's wrong.

Making money on the back of a missing three year old child is not to be recommended nor taken too seriously, not if you've got any morals to guide you.
