Re: The New Reality
I can't cope with it either, today it's gone completely beserk. Google search is now talking to me in a fake American accent with a hint of the orient and it's throwing things about that have nothing to do with my interest. Ask for images of something and you get a few, then a few more, then page upon page of hideous pictures of various irrelevant stuff.
Add to that, I can't find anything I'm looking for, the pages are jumping up and down like a circus flea and so is my blithering cursor.
I'm not playing anymore.
When will they realise and admit this is an unmitigated monumental disaster.

You should be allowed to choose whether or not you want to subscribe to AI, it's proving to be very problematic. It takes about 3 hours longer to achieve something simple than it did before.
Yes it does leap about and change what you're writing. It's worse than that!
Still never mind, you can now invest in a very expensive brand new Samsung Galaxy AI generated mobile phone.
Whoopee!

Re: The New Reality
We're given to understand Windows 11 is perfect for AI modifications and applications, if that's the right word.
My laptop came with Windows 11, it wasn't my decision. That's not a problem in itself but I do wonder, hopefully without being too conspiratorial, if the AI technology take-over has been in the process of planning for a very long time.
Talking of which I'm off out, I can't cope with any more of the AI shenanigans.

Re: The New Reality
Apart from misleading weather reports, what and why is AI all about?
I googled something really simple and got not what I was looking for but page upon page of links to strange websites from north south east and west of planet turf. Nothing of any interest to me.
So intelligent is it, artificially, it selects random words and coughs-up anything with that word in it. So if for example you search chicken liver pate, you get a medical journal for the anatomy of poultry or the number to call if suspected of having liver malfunction or addle pated feet.
Useful if you happen to be a chicken I guess but not much use otherwise.
